So, afteryears of waiting it’s finally here. Was it worth the wait? So far, yes.

The graphics are amazing, vibrant colours, great textures and phenominal models. Even thought the graphics are vastly improved from the first one, you can still make out areas, buildings and such from the first game.

The music… well, it’s a fantasy RPG, and I’ve yet to find one with a good score, it’s cheesy and it gets annouing fast.

The story line is actually pretty good, the game is based 500 years after the original, where you and your sister are homeless and dream of a better life… I won’t spoil the story for anyone who may actually read this, but take my word, it’s pretty good.

Now, there are some things that drive me nuts about this game… First off, the damn load times… everytime you transition from one area to an other, there’s several seconds of load times… this is increased ten fold if you’re playing Co-op. Secondly, Co-Op, Fable 2 is one of those games where if you or your Co-Op partner tries to venture off too far, you’re stuck waiting for them… this gets annoying, especially when the damn voice chat isn’t working properly. The third thing that annoyed me, was the dog… you have a dog following you around the game, and he’ll occasionally bark, growl, howl or cry… well when you’re in a house with 2 dogs… they tend to imitate this annoying pet. The last thing that I wish they would of done differently is the actual movement controls… they aren’t so bad when you’re just walking around, but when you start runnin
g, yeah… forget it.

Now, some of the really cool features in this game include buying realestate, character development, chicken kicking.

All in all, I think I have to say this is probably my favorite game this year and probably my favorite sequel ever.

So we started building the new decorations for this year’s Halloween.

I’ve built 4 Tombstones out of pink insulation foam, carved cracks in them and decorative tops for them. Then we painted them with textured paint… next step is to write the sayings from Disney’s Haunted Mantion on them and puncture the holes for the steaks that will keep them in place.

Other then that, I’ll have to find a good spot for Marge (our 6′ tall animatronic Mummy) and find out if there’s a way I can secure one of our witches to the roof of the garage.

Then it’s the simple stuff, like cob webs, place orange bulbs in the garage lights, place pumpkin lights on the banister for the entrance.

Hopefully we’ll have a better turn out this year then last… concidering it looks like our neighbours will have the lights on this year.

Can’t wait… and to top it off, I get to decorate a house for a kids Halloween party too… MWAHHAHAHAHA!!!

So yesterday was our company golf tournament. Wow I suck…

I was teamed up with an other non-golfer and one other guy who’s played a few times. We ended up wining the ‘Most honest golfers’ prize (read: Highest score). But all in all we had fun. But man oh man am I ever sore today…

In other news, my we noticed that my iPhone could not send or recieve SMS messages anymore, and then noticed that it was no longer connecting to either the 3G or Edge networks, yet it could detect them. So, after tons of futsing around with it, I decided to format it and it’s still doing that. BLAH!

An other weekend goes by, at least I feel like I’ve achieved quite a bit.

On the home front, we cleaned up the house, as we have an installer coming in on Monday to give us a quote for the installation of new floors in both the living room and the family room. We got the liners up for the curtains in the master bedroom (pictures to come soon). We started painting the kitchen. We drained the pool, took the ladder out, put the pool stuff and the patio chairs in the shed, and brought the smoker into the garage (if only the garage door installer could come :P)

We also got to go see our friends’ new house, which is practically next door… beautiful house, cool layout… only thing I don’t like is the lack of a backyard… they have maybe 10′

Ange and I also went out for dinner at our favorite restaurant, Trattoria Caffe Italia. We started with the antipasto which was composed of Prosciutto, Salami, Capicola Ham, olives, bocconcini, parmigiano  and provolone cheeses, pepperoncinis and marinated vegetables. Ange had their lasagna, and I had their veal parmesan with spaghetti. Amazing as usual!

On the gaming front, I bought some more skaven for my Warhammer army and for my Mordheim warband, as well as an new Dreadnaught and an other killakan for my Orks…

All in all, great weekend.

Picked up Lego Batman today. Having finished all 6 episodes of Lego Star Wars and having played half of Lego Indiana Jones (note to self, gotta finish this game) I thought, might as well get Batman too.

Played for about an hour so far and it’s pretty good. Same style of play as the other 2 games. Lots of old batman villains decided to show for this cool game, including and not limited to Clayface, Mr Freeze, Killer Croc.

Looking forward to playing some more.

So, it’s finally out! I’ve been waiting for this game for a LONG time now, and it’s finally out.

It’s a typical MMO, quite alot like World of Warcraft, however there are some cool differences. It’s more of a Realm vs Realm atmosphere, there are public quests and time based quests.

The graphics are quite nice, music hasn’t gotten on my nerves yet… The first disappointment for me was the fact that they nuked some classes that I wanted to play before it was even released. Second disappointment, my Macbook Pro would burn up after a few minutes of playing and then reboot… I was sure the reboots were caused by the over heating, so I tried to get it to work on my Precision… that didn’t work well… finally, after trying to make a new character, I got a blue screen relating to my video drivers… updated the drivers and now I just finished a 3 hour stretch… (though, I think I have 3rd degree burns on my leg now…)

Finally, last disappointment… iws doesn’t like it :( oh well..

So, my first character is a Chaos Magus named Gaelom on Phoenix… He’s now level 6 or such, I also have a Goblin Squig Herder named Grommmm (after Grom the Punch)

On Marienburg, I have an 8th level Witch Hunter named Malakai

As I said, I love the game, and think I’ll be playing this through most of the winter…

Now, if only we could either get Skaven, or Select Nurgle as the chaos god you worship.

So, Criterion released the latest update for Burnout Paradise… 2 free motorcycles with night time riding…

I tried them… and I don’t like them… maybe if they added actual achievements or trophies instead of simple in game achievements there would be a reason to play the bikes… other then that… they kinda suck…

Here’s hoping we get a new city for the cars.

As as Sandman mentioned on his blog, there are tons of games out, or coming out and it’s hard to pick the ones you want, without buying them all. I picked Force Unleashed as one of the few games I’m getting this month.

So, you’re probably wondering what the heck is going through my mind… getting a Starwars game after such a bad review of Clone Wars? Well… I have to say, this game may have just saved the franchise for me.

I picked it up for the PS3 as I do find the graphics a bit better on my PS3 then on my 360.  And the graphics are stunning… Music, might as well of had John Williams write it. Game play is great… and it’s somewhat tough…

So far I’m only hunting after my 2nd Jedi, but I’m having a blast doing it.

Anyways… gotta go kill me some droids.

So, I’ve had this old apple iBook for ages and about 2 years ago, it stopped working, so I had bought a new Macbook Pro…
Well, I guess I was bored last night, so I decided to install Ubuntu on it, and now it works!

Woohoo!

So, I was looking for some good dark movie to watch this past weekend and noticed a movie entitled Gabriel playing on one of the movie channels I get, so I recorded it on the PVR.

Last night, I decided to watch it… and for a B movie, I was quite impressed.

The story revolves around the Archangel Gabriel, who is sent to Purgatory during a war between the angels and the fallen, and he must release Purgatory from the control of Samael. Great idea and it ends with some interesting twists.

It’s a very dark movie (read: Watch it on an LCD TV instead of a Plasma if you can), with lots of Gun-Fu.
You can tell that they had almost no budget for the sets as you can see some CG enhanced backdrops and buildings, but the mood is awesome.

Definitely a great watch.
