7 months of no blogging….

What’s new with me?

Well, we moved in to the house… Did lots of painting, removing wall paper…
Then we got a new puppy… Cin…
I got a promotion at work
We’re heading down to Disney again in 3 days.

So that’s lots of info that I did not blog about?

Well, I’ll be blogging way more from now till we leave and when we come back

Wow… 10 days…

We have all our appliances bought, gorgeous gas range, with a Wok hollder/tripple flame burner, bottom freezer fridge all stainless steel. Front loading washer and dryer… 82,500 BTU stainless steel BBQ…

Services are all lined up… Colours for the walls are all picked out… almost everything is packed…

And as I mentioned in the last post… what happened to the summer? It’s almost gone…

Well, I have to say, moving at the end of summer kinda sucks… You end up wishing the summer to go by quicker… There’s currently 49 days left till we move, and time’s going by quickly… but we’re barely seeing the summer (what we’ve had of one anyway). Between packing, looking for appliances and the pager every 3 weeks… time is just flying by.

Well, the home inspection passed, the financing is all arranged and the insurance is lined up… Only thing left is to wait for August 30th for the closing date and well to shop for furniture.

Hopefully I’ll start witting in here more again… If I can find the time…

So what’s new? Well Friday we went out for dinner at the Barley Mow… Ran into a guy I used to work with at Mitel and his son… drove around… cause it was so nice out (and so damn hot in the apartment) , came hope and tried to sleep… which really resulted in me almost drowning in my own sweat.

Saturday, Ange went to take Nala out in the morning… only to find out that over 45 cars had been broken into in our underground parking lot… and at least 2 new cars have been stolen in the last 3 days… Then went did some errands, followed by a BBQ and my sister’s place… mmMmm fillet mignon, over cooked shrimp, tequila marinaded scallops and garlic potatoes… twas yummy… well except for the over cooked shrimp…Then we had yet an other extremely hot night… at least now they actually turned the heat off.

Today, we drove around, went shopping… we bought a really nice new digital camera… an Olympus 7mega pixel, with a stabilizer… which is going to come in handy in less then 2 weeks when we get to go on vacation… Then tonight, we had dinner at Ange’s dad’s place… steak on the BBQ, pasta, mushrooms, eggs cooked on roasted red peppers, cucumber and tomato salad… Got home not too long ago…

Oh yeah… we also bought a house on Saturday.

Picked up some DVDs over the weekend…

We watched Open Season over the weekend… UNGH! ok, the animation was good… actually some parts were just fantastic… and yes… I did laugh hysterically at some parts of the movie… but in all honesty, I found the story un-entertaining at best… I actually fell asleep during parts (and till now there was only 2 movies where I fell asleep, The Abyss and Das Boot).

Tonight, we decided to watch Barnyard

So we’re sitting there, and I have to say… one of the best animations I’ve seen… sure the textures aren’t the best… The rigging had it’s faults… but the story rocked and everything was just good enough.

Well.. time for Heroes. I’ll post more tomorrow

Well, the Warmachine/Hordes scene has grown tremendously in Ottawa… I’m holding a tournament next weekend, as well as running the PrivateerPress Hordes tripple play. A demo day on Thursday, a boxset tourney in January and a 350point tourney at the end of January… The fact that Wizard’s Tower now sells the minis helps alot.

On the 3D front… I picked up Learning Maya 8 Foundation book… which shows you how to model the garage and bear from Open Season. It’s pretty cool… I just started the garage tonight… though I don’t want to get too far into it as it seems that my monster of a workstation is going to arrive this week.
