Movie Review – Igor

Posted by chris On January - 19 - 2009

igor2 Over the years, I’ve realized I’m a sucker for films that spoof fairy tales and other well established genres… Igor should of been one of these films…

Igor is based in a town of evil scientists, where they all have an ‘Igor’ as an assistant. However, the star of this movie, also named Igor (go figure) had other plans for his life… he wanted to be an evil scientist himself.

The story is unfortunately quite weak, which really disappointed me, since the art was fantastic, an almost Tim Burton style world and characters. The characters are quite funny, especially Steve Buscemi’s character Scamper, the suicidal immortal rabbit.

If Hollywood is predicatable as usual, I’d wait till an other company produces an other evil scientist animation instead of getting Igor.
